Dr Nicole Chater

Dr Nicole Chater is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong belief in the connection between physical health and mental wellbeing, she adopts a holistic approach to medicine. Dr Chater focuses on understanding each patient's unique circumstances, ensuring they feel supported and empowered throughout their healthcare journey. Dr Chater completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology before pursuing her medical education. She graduated with Honours from the University of Notre Dame in 2011, where she was also awarded a Distinction for her research project. Following her graduation, she completed her internship and residency rotations across various medical and surgical departments. Dr Chater went on to complete her General Practice training in Canberra and South Sydney, obtaining a Diploma of Child Health in 2014 and achieving her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015. She holds additional certifications in cosmetic medicine as well as reproductive and sexual health. Dr Chater is an active member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Australian Medical Association, and the Australasian Menopause Society.

In her daily practice, Dr Chater manages a diverse range of health concerns across all age groups. She has a particular interest in women's health, including perimenopause, menopause, and reproductive health, as well as men's health and metabolic wellness. Her background in psychology enhances her ability to support patients experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and stress. Additionally, Dr Chater provides expert care in skin and hair health, preventative medicine, and complex diagnostic cases, ensuring that her patients receive evidence-based, well-rounded medical support.
