Dr Nicholas Kerr

Dr Nicholas Kerr is a highly qualified Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist who specialises in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of cardiovascular care. Dr Kerr has a particular clinical focus on treating cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, and implementing advanced device therapies to help patients achieve optimal heart health and improved quality of life.

Dr Kerr completed his medical education at the University of Sydney, graduating with Honours in Medicine and receiving the prestigious University Medal in Physiology. Committed to advancing the field of cardiology, he undertook a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of New South Wales, supported by a National Health and Medical Research Council scholarship. His doctoral research investigated the mechanisms of inherited arrhythmia disorders using stem cell-derived heart muscle cells. Following his specialist training, Dr Kerr completed two advanced sub-speciality fellowships in cardiac electrophysiology, further refining his expertise in complex cardiac care. He was also awarded a Diploma in Adult Cardiac Electrophysiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), Dr Kerr maintains active engagement with leading professional bodies. He is a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist and a Certified Electrophysiology Specialist, accredited by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE). Dr Kerr combines his extensive academic background and clinical expertise to provide clear, supportive, and evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
