Dr Joseph Chiha

Dr. Joseph Chiha is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist based at Bankstown and Liverpool Hospitals.

As part of his training, Dr. Chiha completed a prestigious two-year fellowship in interventional cardiology at the renowned Peter Munk Cardiac Centre in Toronto, Canada, affiliated with the Toronto General Hospital and the University of Toronto. This centre is globally recognised for its expertise in diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease. Upon returning to Sydney, Dr. Chiha brought back his wealth of experience and dedication to Bankstown Hospital and his private clinics.

At Bankstown and Liverpool Hospitals, Dr. Chiha performs primary interventions, particularly for heart attacks, while also conducting private procedures at Macquarie University Hospital. He holds an affiliation with the University of New South Wales.

Additionally, Dr. Chiha serves as a consultant cardiologist for Douglass Hanly Moir Cardiac Services, overseeing the interpretation and reporting of various cardiac monitoring tests, including 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitors, electrocardiograms, and Holter monitors.

Dr. Chiha obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of Sydney in 2003. Subsequently, he achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2010.
