Dr Nicholas Cocco

Dr Nicholas Cocco is an experienced General and Bariatric Surgeon who trained extensively across New South Wales, the ACT, and Victoria. Currently in his fith year as a consultant bariatric surgeon, Dr Cocco practises at Lakeview, Westmead Private and Macquarie University Hospitals in Sydney, where he provides comprehensive surgical care with a focus on safety, precision, and long-term patient wellbeing.

His post-fellowship training encompassed a broad range of advanced procedures, including kidney and pancreas transplantation, acute general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and vascular surgery.

He is deeply passionate about obesity management and its potential to improve or resolve associated health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, depression, and infertility. His approach to care is highly personalised and patient-centred, reflecting his belief that successful outcomes stem from understanding each patient’s individual goals, challenges, and motivations.
