Dr Nicholas Bashir-Elahi

Dr Nicholas Bashir-Elahi is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Known for his reassuring and non-judgemental approach, he is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based medical care to patients of all ages, with the exception of children under two. He focuses on understanding each patient's unique health needs, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

With a broad expertise across general medicine, Dr Bashir-Elahi has developed a strong clinical focus on skin cancer medicine, including comprehensive skin assessments, melanoma screening, and spot evaluations. He is highly skilled in the early detection and management of skin cancers, performing procedures such as the excision of skin cancers, curettage of low-risk lesions to minimise scarring, and photodynamic therapy (PDT) for precancerous lesions. Beyond skin health, his diverse areas of interest encompass preventative medicine, Men's Health, mental health, neurodivergence, and cosmetic medicine. He also provides specialised consultations and assessments for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and adults.

Originally from New Zealand, Dr Bashir-Elahi completed his medical education at the University of Otago, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Committed to continuous professional development, he is a Member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Skin Cancer College Australasia. He has furthered his expertise by obtaining a Certificate of Dermoscopy and an Advanced Skin Cancer Certificate, and continues to pursue advanced training in skin cancer medicine to provide the highest standard of care to his patients.
