Prof. Neil Johnson

Professor Neil Johnson is a highly distinguished Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist who serves as a Medical Director. He is a Subspecialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, dedicating his career to helping patients navigate complex fertility journeys and reproductive health challenges. Throughout his career, Prof. Johnson has developed a particular clinical focus on complex or unexplained infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and recurrent implantation failure. He is internationally recognised for his expertise in managing endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). As a pioneer in innovative treatments, he has championed the use of lipiodol (a poppy seed oil) for unexplained and endometriosis-related infertility. His clinical practice also encompasses advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, colposcopy, and the management of menstrual disorders.

Prof. Johnson completed his medical degree (MB BS) at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom in 1988, followed by General Practitioner training, qualifying in 1994. He later undertook advanced specialist training in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Auckland in 2009. He holds a subspecialty qualification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI), which he completed in 2003. Prof. Johnson is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) in London and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG). Demonstrating his leadership in the field, he is a former President of the World Endometriosis Society and holds academic appointments as a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
