Dr Monique Damasco

Dr Monique Damasco is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in Sydney, with a subspecialty focus on advanced minimally invasive pelvic surgery.

She completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle and undertook specialist training through major teaching hospitals including St George Hospital, the Royal Hospital for Women, and the Royal Women’s Hospital Melbourne.

Her advanced training includes fellowships in medical imaging and ultrasound for obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as extended fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) pelvic surgery. This has given her extensive expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, aimed at improving patient recovery and reducing surgical impact.

Dr Damasco provides both public and private care, including appointments at St George Public Hospital and private practice at St George Private and Kareena Private Hospitals. She is also involved in teaching medical students from the University of New South Wales and training future obstetrics and gynaecology specialists.

Her clinical interests include minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, endometriosis, pelvic pain, fibroids, and complex benign gynaecological conditions. She is accredited by Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is a member of several professional bodies including AMA and ASUM.
