Dr Nanette Presswell

Dr Nanette Presswell is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary healthcare. With a patient-centred approach, she is committed to delivering reassuring, high-quality medical care tailored to the diverse needs of her patients. Dr Presswell has a strong focus on inclusive healthcare, offering supportive and affirmative general medicine to individuals from all walks of life, including the LGBTIQ+ community.

Throughout her clinical career, Dr Presswell has developed significant expertise in sexual health, including the management and prevention of sexually transmitted infections, HIV care, and pre-exposure prophylaxis. Her clinical interests also extend to mental health and wellbeing, with a particular focus on stress management and counselling within primary care. Additionally, she is deeply passionate about medical advocacy and has actively supported research into rare genetic conditions, such as hereditary ataxias.

Dr Presswell completed her medical education at the University of New South Wales, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1975. To further her commitment to clinical excellence, she obtained her fellowship and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has also contributed to medical education, serving as a General Practice Supervisor and clinical educator to help train the next generation of medical professionals.
