Dr Naglaa Shams is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Shams has extensive experience working in both rural and urban medical settings, which has equipped her with a broad and versatile understanding of diverse patient needs. In her clinical practice, Dr Shams focuses on a wide range of general medicine areas, with a strong passion for family planning, women's health, and child health. She is highly skilled in chronic disease management, particularly diabetes management, and is accredited to provide antenatal shared care. Her clinical expertise also extends to performing minor surgical procedures, including skin lesion biopsies and the excision of skin lesions for surgical skin cancer treatment. Additionally, she is actively involved in medical education, sharing her knowledge and expertise by teaching medical students.

Dr Shams completed her medical degree, obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She subsequently undertook her local clinical training as an Intern at a prominent hospital in Sydney.
