Dr Monica Gaur

Dr Monica Gaur is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, compassionate care to patients of all ages. With a strong foundation in general medicine, she is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare. Dr Gaur has a particular interest in preventive medicine, supporting individuals and families to achieve optimal health outcomes through proactive wellness strategies and personalised care plans.

Her diverse clinical interests include women's health, sexual health, and transgender health. Dr Gaur offers a wide range of services in these areas, including preconception counselling, antenatal care, menopausal management, and contraception options such as contraceptive implant insertions. Additionally, she is a qualified prescriber for HIV medications, including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and manages patients with hepatitis C in collaboration with local specialist clinics. Her expertise also extends to adolescent health, mental health, paediatrics, and performing minor skin cancer surgeries.

Dr Gaur completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Delhi, qualifying in 2000. She initially trained and worked as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India before relocating to Australia, where she gained extensive clinical experience working in metropolitan hospitals. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds a Diploma of Child Health. Dedicated to medical education, she is also actively involved in training General Practice Registrars and serves as an examiner for professional medical examinations.
