Dr Mohamed Mahmoud

Dr Mohamed Mahmoud is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred medical care. Throughout his career, Dr Mahmoud has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. He is particularly passionate about chronic disease management, with a strong focus on diabetes care and the health of elderly patients. In addition to general family medicine, he has undertaken advanced training in skin cancer medicine, enabling him to perform thorough skin checks and manage various skin cancers. His surgical background also allows him to perform minor surgical procedures, including skin flaps, grafts, and no-scalpel vasectomies. Furthermore, he is an Authorised Medicinal Cannabis Prescriber, offering alternative therapeutic options for patients with eligible chronic conditions.

Dr Mahmoud completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1992. He subsequently pursued further training, qualifying as a General Surgeon with a Master of Science in General Surgery in 1996. After relocating to Australia, he gained extensive experience as an Emergency Medicine Physician before transitioning to work as a General Practitioner. In 2008, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. To complement his clinical practice, he has also completed a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine, a Certificate of Dermoscopy, and an Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery Workshop.
