Dr Mindi Fernando

Dr Mindi Fernando is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who provides comprehensive, compassionate care for children from birth through to eighteen years of age. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she specialises in General Paediatrics, ensuring that infants, children, and adolescents receive the highest standard of medical attention. Dr Fernando is committed to supporting families through every stage of their child's growth and development, addressing both acute and chronic paediatric concerns with professional expertise.

Dr Fernando obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide in 2008. Demonstrating a strong commitment to child health, she went on to complete a Diploma of Child Health (DCH) through a leading paediatric hospital in South Australia in 2010. She subsequently undertook her advanced paediatric training across major health networks in Melbourne, Victoria. Dr Fernando is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), reflecting her advanced training and high standards of clinical practice.

In her clinical practice, Dr Fernando has a particular interest in neonatal and infant health, helping parents navigate early challenges such as feeding difficulties, poor growth, and sleep concerns. Her expertise also extends to developmental paediatrics, where she provides thorough assessments and management plans for children experiencing developmental delay, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, and learning difficulties. By collaborating closely with families and multidisciplinary teams, she aims to deliver holistic care that fosters optimal developmental and health outcomes for every child.
