Dr Michael Kohn

Dr Michael Kohn is a dedicated and highly respected Paediatrician who specialises in the assessment and management of conditions affecting the health, development, and well-being of children, adolescents, and young adults. With a compassionate and family-centred approach, Dr Kohn works closely with families to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care. He is committed to helping young people navigate their developmental challenges, ensuring they receive the support needed to thrive and achieve their full potential.

In his clinical practice, Dr Kohn focuses on developmental and behavioural paediatrics, with particular expertise in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges. Additionally, he possesses specialised knowledge in adolescent health, focusing on the management of eating disorders, including anorexia and bulimia, as well as obesity and hypercholesterolaemia. His holistic approach integrates medical, psychological, and nutritional aspects of care to support the overall health of his patients.

Dr Kohn completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of New South Wales in 1983. He subsequently attained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 1993 and Fellowship of the Australian College of Psychological Medicine (FACPM) in 2002. Committed to advancing medical research and education, he completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Sydney in 2016 and holds a position as a Clinical Professor. He has also contributed extensively to medical literature, authoring numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters on ADHD, nutrition, and adolescent health.
