Dr Mervyn Kyi

Dr Mervyn Kyi is a highly dedicated and compassionate Consultant Endocrinologist and General Physician who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Kyi focuses on delivering personalised treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual. His clinical practice encompasses all areas of diabetes and endocrinology, with a particular focus on supporting patients to manage complex hormonal conditions and improve their overall health outcomes.

Dr Kyi completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, graduating with First Class Honours in 2007. He subsequently undertook extensive specialist training in endocrinology, qualifying as a Specialist in 2015. Committed to advancing medical knowledge, he also completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on early intervention models of diabetes care, supported by a prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Postgraduate Scholarship. Dr Kyi is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and maintains active professional memberships with several leading organisations, including the Australian Diabetes Society, the Endocrine Society of Australia, the American Diabetes Association, and the US Endocrine Society.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Kyi is an active Researcher and Educator who contributes significantly to the broader medical community. He has published numerous articles in high-profile peer-reviewed medical journals and has been recognised with the Young Investigator's Award from the Australian Diabetes Society. As an invited Speaker at national scientific meetings and a Reviewer for various international endocrinology journals, he remains at the forefront of clinical developments.
