Dr Merlene Thrift

Dr Merlene Thrift is a dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on integrative medicine, she combines conventional general practice with evidence-based nutritional and environmental medicine to support her patients' overall well-being. Dr Thrift is committed to addressing the root causes of health issues, offering personalised treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each individual.

Her clinical interests span a wide range of medical areas, with a particular emphasis on the management of both acute and chronic illnesses. Dr Thrift is highly skilled in chronic disease management, including conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Additionally, she has a keen interest in gut health, mental health, allergies, and brain health, including cognitive conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. Her holistic approach also extends to providing comprehensive care in women's and men's health.

Dr Thrift holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and has pursued extensive postgraduate training to enhance her clinical practice. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (MRACGP).
