Dr Megan Howden

Dr Megan Howden is a highly qualified Consultant Allergist and Respiratory Physician who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of respiratory and allergic conditions. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she specialises in managing complex airway diseases and allergic disorders in adults and adolescents aged 16 and over. Her clinical focus encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of severe asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, and various allergies, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored management plan to improve their quality of life.

Dr Howden began her medical journey by completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, followed by a postgraduate medical degree at Flinders University. She then undertook extensive postgraduate training as a Junior Doctor and went on to complete advanced specialist training in respiratory medicine and allergy at several leading tertiary referral hospitals. Throughout her career, she has held public hospital appointments where she has contributed to specialised clinics, particularly in the management of severe asthma and complex allergic diseases.

As a dedicated medical professional, Dr Howden maintains active engagement with the wider scientific community to ensure her practice remains at the forefront of clinical advancements. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
