Dr Matthew Winter

Urological surgeon, Dr Matthew Winter, has specialist training in both robotic and minimally invasive surgery. He places great emphasis on compassion and understanding, and he strives to deliver exceptional care to each and every one of his patients. Dr Winter ensures to keep patients fully informed about their condition and potential treatments, giving them the knowledge they need to make a decision that is right for them. He treats a range of general urological conditions as well as prostate cancer, BPH, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, testis cancer, and kidney stones.

Dr Winter gained his medical qualification in 2008 before undertaking urological training in Sydney. During this time, he also trained in robotic surgery as part of his fellowship training at Nepean Public Hospital and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). He subsequently completed a further fellowship in advanced robotic and laparoscopic urology at the Institute of Urology where he worked with world-leading surgeons in the field and carried out hundreds of minimally invasive surgeries.

Dr Winter is a family man who uses his personal experiences to bring compassionate care to his patients. He has a caring approach and has founded a company that creates educational videos to inform patients about their operations. He has also published a textbook to aid urology fellow and trainees in the field.
