Dr Danielle Delaney

Dr. Danielle Delaney is a highly accomplished urological surgeon practicing at The Yellow Spot, specialising in adult and paediatric urology. Her surgical expertise heavily encompasses minimally invasivie techniques in particular endoscopic surgery for both children and adults. She is highly proficient in advanced kidney and bladder stone surgeries  including flexible ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy, to ensure optimal patient recovery.  

With a passion for optimising bladder function, Dr. Delaney is a leading expert in managing complex continence issues across all age groups and genders. Additionally, she provides comprehensive care for various forms of urinary incontinence, including benign prostatic hyperplasia, overactive bladder (OAB) and urge urinary incontinence (UUI), neurogenic voiding dysfunction and stress urinary incontinence. 

Danielle is actively involved in optimising therapy for OAB/UUI as the Chief Medical Officer of Australis Scientific, an international team who has developed the Confidanz Smart Patch currently undergoing clinical trial. The patch design and home-based therapy improves access for all patients with OAB and UUI. 

Danielle established one of the first multidisciplinary clinics to optimise care for children with day and night time urinary incontinence as well as recurrent UTI - The Yellow Spot Clinic. 

Previously when Head of Department of Urology at Sydney Children’s Hospital, she significantly advanced the management of continence issues for younger patients, actively participating in international clinical trials for Overactive Bladder (OAB) and neurogenic bladder in children and adolescents. 

Dr. Delaney’s has extensive training and earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1998, followed by a Fellowship in Urology from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2007. Her extensive training and dedication to research ensure her patients receive the highest standard of innovative, compassionate urological care.
