Dr Matthew Voltz

Dr Matthew Voltz is a highly qualified and dedicated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who provides comprehensive surgical care. With a dual qualification in both dentistry and medicine, Dr Voltz brings a wealth of knowledge and precision to his clinical practice. He is committed to delivering patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals undergoing complex oral and facial procedures feel fully supported, informed, and reassured throughout their treatment journey.

Dr Voltz completed his undergraduate dental training at the University of Queensland, obtaining a Bachelor of Dental Studies followed by his dental degree. After working in general dental practice and as an Academic Demonstrator, he embarked on formal surgical training, subsequently earning his medical degree. He completed his specialist training to achieve a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the Special Stream of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His extensive postgraduate training included surgical rotations at major tertiary hospitals, where he served as a Principal House Officer in General Surgery. Dr Voltz has also held appointments as a Consultant at prominent public hospitals and has been actively involved in training and examining future Specialist Trainees for the College.

In his private practice, Dr Voltz focuses on a broad range of oral and maxillofacial procedures. His clinical interests encompass dentoalveolar surgery, including the surgical removal of wisdom teeth, and the placement of dental implants. He also specialises in corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), facial trauma reconstruction, the surgical management of oral pathology, jaw joint (TMJ) disorders, and surgical interventions for obstructive sleep apnoea. Dr Voltz utilises advanced surgical techniques to achieve optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes, prioritising patient safety and comfort at every stage.
