Dr Matthew Cheng

Dr Matthew Cheng is a highly qualified Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based in Brisbane, Queensland. He is dedicated to providing personalised, patient-centred care, utilising advanced surgical techniques to achieve natural-looking and safe outcomes. Dr Cheng has a broad clinical focus that encompasses cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, with a particular interest in facial aesthetics, breast surgery, and body contouring. Dr Cheng completed his medical education at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours, where he was also awarded the prestigious Harold Plant Memorial Prize. Following his initial medical training, he undertook extensive specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, which included a highly competitive accredited training programme. Demonstrating a deep commitment to academic excellence and innovation, Dr Cheng also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in breast tissue engineering from the Queensland University of Technology, with his research receiving national media recognition.

To further refine his expertise, Dr Cheng completed an advanced aesthetic surgery fellowship in Sydney, endorsed by the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and holds active memberships with the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).
