Dr Mary Mashicharan

Dr. Mary Mashicharan is a Specialist Cardiologist with over 15 years of experience. She is fully accredited by the General Medical Council (GMC) and is a member of the British Cardiovascular Society and British Society of Cardiography. Dr. Mashicharan obtained her Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Leicester and later became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017. She has experience in numerous reputable hospitals in the UK and Australia, including Russel Hall's Hospital, Frankston Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, The Canberra Hospital, Austin Hospital and Glenfield Hospital.

With her rich experience, Dr. Mashicharan has had extensive training in the field of cardiology. She undertook a two year Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at Austin Hospital, which involved advanced echocardiography. She also has work published in many medical journals, and has presented this work at conferences nationally and internationally, including at the British Cardiovascular Society. In addition to her academic accomplishments, Dr Mashicharan also shares her expertise and knowledge by teaching and training students in the field. She was responsible for supervising and conducting assessments for cardiologists at Townsville Hospital, providing hands-on training for the cardiology advanced trainees, as well as teaching final year medical students at James Cook University.
