Dr Mary-Jane Stanley

Dr Mary-Jane Stanley is a highly experienced General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a broad clinical focus, Dr Stanley is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life, offering a reassuring and professional approach to family medicine. She has developed a particular interest in women's health, delivering compassionate and tailored care to address a wide range of complex needs.

Throughout her career, Dr Stanley has focused extensively on key areas of women's health, including the management of menopause and perimenopause, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pelvic pain, and painful periods. She is highly skilled in providing contraceptive advice, including the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants, as well as intrauterine device removal. Additionally, she offers pre-pregnancy discussions and shared antenatal care, alongside managing children's health, mental health care plans, and chronic disease management.

Dr Stanley obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Adelaide, graduating in 1987. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Demonstrating a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence, she holds active memberships with the Australasian Menopause Society and the Pelvic Pain Foundation, and serves as a committee member for the Queensland Pelvic Pain Network. She is also a certified contraceptive implants trainer and has contributed to the clinical education of fellow General Practitioners.
