Throughout his career, Dr Panter has developed a broad range of clinical interests within family medicine. His expertise spans essential areas of healthcare, including preventative medicine, chronic disease management, and acute care. He is particularly skilled in Men's Health, Women's Health, and Children's Health, alongside providing specialised services such as skin checks, the removal of moles and sunspots, and minor surgical procedures. Additionally, he offers comprehensive health assessments, travel vaccinations, and pre-employment medical examinations, ensuring that all aspects of his patients' physical well-being are thoroughly managed.

Dr Panter completed his medical training at the University of London, graduating with a degree in Medicine in 1972. His outstanding contributions to healthcare and the wider community have been recognised with several prestigious accolades, including the Prime Minister's Centenary Medal for outstanding service to medicine and the community, and the Peacekeepers Award for his humanitarian efforts in East Timor. He holds an academic appointment at James Cook University Medical School, which also bestowed upon him an honorary degree in recognition of his exemplary service. Furthermore, Dr Panter has served as the Global Medical Director for the Australian Government's Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs and is a co-founder and former Chairman of the Board of the Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART) Australasia.
