Dr Marlene Soma

Dr Marlene Soma is a highly esteemed Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgeon. Dr Soma possesses a particular interest in paediatric airway surgery. Dr Soma's dedication to providing well-balanced and considered opinions to patients has earned her a respected reputation in the field. Beyond surgical practice, Dr Soma actively contributes to the medical community through teaching and research. Dr Soma also runs courses for nurses, ENT surgeons, and registrars, and frequently speaks at national and international conferences. Dr Soma has authored numerous publications on various aspects of ENT surgery and has contributed to several book chapters.

Dr Soma is a member of the International Paediatric Otolaryngology Group (IPOG), an organisation that develops consensus statements on managing complex paediatric ENT conditions. Furthermore, Dr Soma has actively participated in the Australian New Zealand Society Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ANZSPO) since 2011, serving as both treasurer and executive member.
