Originally from a small slate-mining village in North Wales, his medical career has taken him across the globe, including extensive work in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia. Dr Werner Stieler is deeply committed to patient-focused care and approaches medicine from a holistic perspective, aiming to address both the physical and emotional well-being of his patients. Throughout his career, Dr Werner Stieler has developed a broad and varied clinical background. He began his medical journey in the demanding field of Emergency Medicine before transitioning into family-focused General Practice. His professional path has also included providing vital medical care within remote Indigenous communities in the Eastern Kimberley region. This unique combination of emergency and rural medicine has equipped him with a versatile skill set, enabling him to manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions with confidence and reassurance.

Dr Werner Stieler completed his medical training with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) alongside a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc (Hons)). To further his expertise in family medicine, he obtained postgraduate qualifications and holds professional memberships as a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in the United Kingdom and as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in Australia. He remains dedicated to continuous professional development to ensure his patients receive the highest standard of care.
