Dr Mark Samuel O'Reilly

Dr Mark Samuel O'Reilly is a highly dedicated General Practitioner and Sexual Health Physician who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong commitment to promoting health and well-being, he supports patients through all stages of life. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of general medicine, with a particular focus on sexual health, preventative medicine, and the management of chronic health conditions. Dr O'Reilly is known for his reassuring and professional approach, ensuring that every patient feels heard, respected, and supported in their healthcare journey.

Dr O'Reilly completed his medical degree at the University of Newcastle in 2001. Committed to expanding his medical expertise, he later obtained a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University in 2009. He holds fellowships with both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine. Throughout his career, Dr O'Reilly has remained actively involved in the wider medical community, serving as a clinical advisor to the Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine, and contributing to the Australian HIV antiretroviral guidelines committee and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Sexual Health Training committee.

In addition to general practice, Dr O'Reilly has extensive experience in sexual health, including the treatment and prevention of sexually transmitted infections, HIV medicine, and viral hepatitis. He is also passionate about medical education, regularly teaching medical students and training other General Practitioners. His diverse clinical interests also extend to men's health, mental health, travel medicine, and supportive care in oncology and end-of-life care. Outside of his clinical work, Dr O'Reilly enjoys travelling, hiking, and exploring culinary pursuits.
