Dr Mark Dooris

Dr Mark Dooris is a highly qualified and dedicated Cardiologist who specialises in interventional cardiology. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Dr Dooris is committed to delivering comprehensive and reassuring care, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan designed to optimise their heart health and overall well-being.

His clinical expertise encompasses the management of coronary heart disease and heart failure. As an experienced Cardiologist, Dr Dooris is highly skilled in performing advanced cardiac procedures, including coronary angiography, right heart catheterisation, and percutaneous coronary intervention, which involves stent implantation. He also has a strong interest in primary percutaneous coronary intervention for ST elevation myocardial infarction, as well as utilising mathematical and statistical methods to enhance clinical outcomes in cardiology.

Dr Dooris completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Second Class Honours at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1985. He went on to complete his specialist training to become a Cardiologist in 1992, followed by two prestigious interventional cardiology fellowships in the United States. In addition to his medical degrees, he holds a Graduate Diploma of Science in Mathematics. Dr Dooris is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
