Dr Marcus Hayward

Dr Marcus Hayward is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families in Bathurst. With a strong focus on preventative medicine and holistic well-being, he is committed to supporting his patients through every stage of life. Dr Hayward believes in building collaborative relationships with those in his care, ensuring that medical decisions are shared and tailored to meet individual health needs.

Throughout his career, Dr Hayward has developed a broad range of clinical interests, allowing him to deliver versatile primary care. He has extensive experience in emergency medicine, palliative care, and obstetrics and gynaecology. Additionally, he has a strong passion for paediatrics and child health, as well as skin cancer medicine, which includes the early detection and management of skin cancers. His diverse clinical background enables him to address complex health concerns with confidence and reassurance.

Dr Hayward began his academic journey at the University of Sydney, where he completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours, focusing on genetics and immunology, and engaged in scientific research. He subsequently returned to the same institution to pursue his medical training, qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2010. Following his graduation, he completed his initial hospital-based training to gain well-rounded clinical experience. Dr Hayward holds a Diploma in Child Health and is currently undertaking a Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
