Dr Magdy Attia

Dr Magdy Attia is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Burwood community. With a patient-centred approach, he is committed to delivering high-quality medical care to individuals and families at all stages of life. Dr Attia is widely recognised for his reassuring manner and professional expertise, ensuring that patients feel supported and well-informed during their consultations.

In his clinical practice, Dr Attia has developed a strong focus on obstetrics and minor surgery. He offers a wide range of essential services, including antenatal care, postnatal check-ups, family planning, and the management of pregnancy complications. Additionally, he performs routine screenings such as Pap smears and is highly skilled in conducting minor surgical procedures. His holistic approach to family medicine allows him to address both acute and chronic health concerns with precision and care.

Dr Attia completed his medical education, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 1981. He subsequently obtained his Australian Medical Council certification in Sydney in 1987. Alongside his clinical duties, Dr Attia is passionate about medical education and actively mentors medical students, sharing his clinical expertise to help shape the next generation of healthcare professionals. He is fluent in both English and Arabic, enabling him to effectively communicate with and support patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
