Dr Magdalena Guzowski

Dr Magdalena Guzowski is a highly accomplished Consultant Ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred eye care. With a deep-seated passion for public health and clinical excellence, she focuses on delivering personalised treatments that significantly improve her patients' quality of vision. Dr Guzowski is highly regarded for her clinical expertise, particularly in the medical and surgical management of ophthalmic diseases, and she places the individual needs of her patients at the very heart of her practice.

Dr Guzowski completed her medical education at the University of New South Wales, where she earned her Bachelor of Science (Medicine) and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. Demonstrating a strong commitment to community health, she also obtained a Master of Public Health from the same institution. She completed her specialist training in Ophthalmology at a leading ophthalmic training hospital in Sydney. Dr Guzowski is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. Additionally, she contributes to the training of future specialists as an Anatomy Examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and serves as a Clinical Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney, where she teaches Junior Doctors and Medical Students.

Throughout her career, Dr Guzowski has maintained a strong interest in both clinical practice and academic research. She is a regular presenter at national and international conferences, and her research has been published in prestigious, peer-reviewed medical journals. Her dedication to public health has led her to participate in vital humanitarian initiatives, providing life-changing eye surgery to disadvantaged communities internationally, including in Nepal, Burma, and the Pacific, as well as working with Indigenous communities in Australia. In her clinical role, she also supervises and trains Registrars in both clinic and operating theatre environments, ensuring the next generation of eye specialists is equipped with advanced surgical skills.
