Dr Luis Benedict Paxton

Dr Luis Benedict Paxton is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families. He enjoys treating patients of all ages, offering a supportive and reassuring environment. With a strong commitment to preventative medicine, Dr Paxton works closely with his patients to manage their long-term health and well-being, ensuring they receive evidence-based clinical care tailored to their unique needs.

In his clinical practice, Dr Paxton has developed several key areas of interest. He is particularly passionate about men's health, as well as the prevention of chronic conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. Additionally, he has a keen interest in veterans' health, supporting former service members as they transition to civilian life. Dr Paxton is also highly skilled in travel medicine, offering comprehensive pre-travel advice, malaria prevention strategies, and travel vaccinations, including Yellow Fever immunisations. He is also an accredited prescriber of HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).

Dr Paxton completed his medical education at the Australian National University in Canberra, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) alongside a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSc). Committed to continuous professional development, he completed the Sydney Child Health Programme (SCHP). Dr Paxton is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds a professional membership with the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine's Faculty of Travel Medicine.
