Dr Lu Ton

Dr Lu Ton is a highly qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in complex spinal conditions and joint reconstruction. With a patient-focused approach, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive, reliable, and reassuring care to individuals experiencing debilitating musculoskeletal issues. Dr Ton focuses on restoring mobility and improving the overall quality of life for his patients through both non-surgical management and advanced surgical interventions.

Dr Ton completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1991. He subsequently undertook specialist training under the Victorian Orthopaedic Specialist training programme, qualifying as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2001. To further refine his expertise, he completed two prestigious post-graduate fellowships in complex spinal and joint reconstruction surgery, including advanced training at a major trauma centre in Toronto, Canada. Dr Ton is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and holds active memberships with the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Spine Society of Australia, the Australian Medical Association, and the Vietnamese Australian Medical Association.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Ton contributes to the medical community as a university Lecturer and a Supervisor for orthopaedic specialist training. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of complex spinal conditions, including severe trauma, advanced degenerative spinal disease, spinal deformities, and spinal tumours. He is highly skilled in performing minimally invasive keyhole spinal surgery, revision spinal procedures, and lower limb joint replacements, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan designed for optimal recovery.
