Dr Louisa Zhang

Dr Louisa Zhang is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, tailoring her clinical approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. With a reassuring and professional manner, Dr Zhang strives to support her patients through every stage of their health journey, promoting long-term well-being and preventative care.

Dr Zhang completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Doctor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales, qualifying in 2016. Following her graduation, she gained comprehensive clinical experience during her internship and residency at a major metropolitan hospital, undertaking rotations in cardiology, geriatrics, and dermatology. She completed her specialist training as a General Practice Registrar across several clinics before obtaining her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2021. Additionally, she holds a Diploma of Child Health, a Certificate in Family Planning, and a Certificate in Dermoscopy. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

In her daily practice, Dr Zhang has developed strong clinical interests in women's health, family planning, paediatrics, and dermatology. She is skilfully trained in performing specific clinical procedures, including the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants, as well as administering intravenous iron infusions. Her interest in skin health also extends to skin cancer medicine, where she utilises dermoscopy to perform thorough skin checks. Alongside her clinical work, she contributes to the medical profession as an Associate Lecturer and an Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
