Dr Liam McCormick is a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiologist who specialises as an Interventional Cardiologist and Structural Cardiologist. His clinical practice encompasses the expert management of valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, and cardiomyopathies, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored and supportive treatment plan.

With a particular interest in all aspects of coronary intervention, Dr McCormick is proficient in the percutaneous management of structural heart disease. His expertise includes advanced procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve implantation and alcohol septal ablation for patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. He is also deeply involved in cardiovascular research, having published extensively in prominent medical textbooks and high-impact journals, which keeps him at the forefront of modern cardiac care.

Dr McCormick graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2002 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He then travelled to the United Kingdom, where he completed his basic physician training in Cambridge and advanced clinical cardiology training at the country's largest specialist cardiothoracic hospital. During his time in the UK, he also earned a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Cambridge, conducting clinical trials on cardioprotective agents. Upon returning to Australia in 2014, he completed a two-year Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the United Kingdom.
