Dr Lekha Silva

Dr Lekha Silva is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a focus on fostering long-term relationships with her patients, she delivers high-quality medical support tailored to individual needs. Dr Silva believes in a holistic approach to healthcare, ensuring that preventative medicine and patient education are at the forefront of her practice.

Dr Silva obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka in 1992. After gaining valuable clinical experience in several teaching and base hospitals, she relocated to Australia, where she successfully completed her Australian Medical Council examinations. She went on to complete her training as a General Practitioner in regional New South Wales and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2014. To further enhance her clinical capabilities, she also undertook extended skills training in key areas of healthcare.

Throughout her career, Dr Silva has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. She is highly skilled in chronic disease management, with a particular focus on diabetes management. Her expertise also extends to women's health, family planning, geriatric medicine, and mental health. By combining her extensive training with a reassuring and empathetic manner, she supports patients of all ages through various stages of life, helping them achieve optimal health outcomes.
