Dr Lei Cao

Dr Lei Cao is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care. Dr Cao completed his primary medical degree and Master of Clinical Medicine in China, where he also undertook comprehensive physician training at leading medical institutions. He later moved to Australia, where he was awarded a postgraduate scholarship and earned his PhD in heart health from Macquarie University in 2014. Following his doctoral studies, he was appointed as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Heart Research Institute at the University of Sydney. Dr Cao is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting his high level of expertise and commitment to the field of General Practice.

Throughout his career, Dr Cao has accumulated diverse clinical experience across various healthcare settings, including major metropolitan hospitals and rural clinics in New South Wales. His broad medical background spans emergency medicine, general medicine, and general and orthopaedic surgery. In his general practice, Dr Cao has developed a strong focus on the early detection of serious medical conditions, chronic disease management, and preventative health. He is highly skilled in managing complex health needs, including mental health support, aged care, workplace injuries, and performing common skin procedures.
