Dr Lauren Barclay

Dr Lauren Barclay is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Originally from Manitoba, Canada, she relocated to Australia to pursue her medical career, bringing a warm and reassuring approach to her clinical practice. Dr Barclay is committed to supporting patients of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on preventative health and long-term well-being to help individuals and families achieve optimal health outcomes.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Barclay has developed particular expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and management. She has completed advanced training in dermoscopy, skin cancer medicine, and advanced skin surgery, allowing her to perform thorough skin checks and precise surgical interventions. In addition to her focus on skin health, she possesses extensive experience in family medicine, paediatrics, and internal medicine, ensuring a holistic approach to general practice.

Dr Barclay completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Manitoba, graduating with a Bachelor of Science with distinction. She then moved to Australia, where she earned her postgraduate Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland. Dr Barclay is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), which represents specialist recognition in family medicine. She has also undertaken further professional development through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia to refine her surgical and diagnostic skills.
