Dr Koraisha Hoosen

Dr Koraisha Hoosen is a highly qualified Consultant Dermatologist who provides comprehensive care for a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. With extensive experience in both public and private practice, she is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred dermatological care. Dr Hoosen is committed to keeping pace with cutting-edge advancements in medical technology and research, ensuring her patients receive the highest standard of treatment.

Dr Hoosen completed her medical training at the University of Natal Medical School in South Africa, graduating cum laude in 2000. During her studies, she was recognised with several Dean's Commendations, the EB Adams prize for the top student in the final Medicine examination, and the YK Seedat prize for outstanding final-year achievement. She went on to obtain a Master of Medical Science in Dermatology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Dr Hoosen is a Fellow of the College of Dermatologists of South Africa and a Fellow of The Australasian College of Dermatologists.

As a general Dermatologist, Dr Hoosen has a particular interest in medical dermatology and women's dermatological health. Her clinical expertise spans the management of complex inflammatory skin conditions, including acne, eczema, and psoriasis, as well as autoimmune bullous diseases, connective tissue disorders, and tropical dermatoses. Throughout her career, she has also contributed to the wider medical community by helping to establish tele-dermatology initiatives and "flying doctor" services to improve access to specialist care in rural areas.
