Dr Kathy Low

Dr Kathy Low is a highly dedicated Consultant Respiratory and Sleep Physician who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of lung and sleep-related conditions. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she specialises in diagnosing and managing complex respiratory disorders. Her clinical focus encompasses the assessment and treatment of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and vocal cord dysfunction. Additionally, she possesses significant expertise in evaluating suspicious lung nodules and is actively involved in the National Lung Cancer Screening Programme, participating in multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care pathways for patients undergoing lung cancer investigations.

Beyond general respiratory medicine, Dr Low has a strong interest in sleep medicine, offering expert diagnosis and management for sleep disorders such as sleep apnoea. Her commitment to evidence-based medicine is reflected in her extensive research contributions, having published widely in prestigious international medical journals. She has also been recognised for her clinical research with a prestigious fellowship for her work on severe asthma and vocal cord dysfunction, ensuring her patients benefit from the latest advancements in thoracic and sleep health.

Dr Low graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 2003. She completed her basic physician training and subsequently undertook advanced specialist training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). To maintain the highest standards of clinical practice, she holds active professional memberships with the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) and the Australian Sleep Association (ASA).
