Dr Katherine Mellowes

Dr Katherine Mellowes is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a compassionate and reassuring approach, she is committed to supporting the health and well-being of individuals and families. Dr Mellowes maintains a broad clinical focus, with particular expertise in women's health, children's health, and family planning.

Dr Mellowes completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1988. Following her graduation, she gained valuable clinical experience working as a Paediatric Registrar in a hospital children's ward. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and also serves as an Examiner for the college, contributing to the training and assessment of future General Practitioners. Additionally, she has completed specialised training in family planning.

In her daily practice, Dr Mellowes focuses on delivering preventative care and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. She is accredited for shared antenatal care, allowing her to support expectant mothers through the Shared Care Programme for Antenatal Care. Her deep interest in paediatric medicine and women's health enables her to offer tailored, empathetic guidance, ensuring that patients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their healthcare decisions.
