Dr Katharina Schmid

Dr Katharina Schmid is a compassionate and thorough General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. She takes the time to understand the broader context of her patients' health, placing a strong emphasis on preventative care and empowering individuals to take an active role in their own well-being. Her thorough and thoughtful consultation style often incorporates personalised written summaries, trusted resources, and practical tools to support patients on their health journeys.

Dr Schmid completed her Medical State Examination with first-class honours at Regensburg University in Germany, where she also earned a Research Doctorate in Respiratory Medicine and a Diploma in Intercultural Competence. She subsequently undertook her postgraduate training in the United Kingdom, qualifying as a General Practitioner in 2015. Dr Schmid holds Memberships with both the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK). After relocating to Australia, she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and achieved board certification as a Lifestyle Medicine Physician. Additionally, she contributes to the education of future General Practitioners as a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales.
