Dr Kate Douglas

Dr Kate Douglas is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a reassuring and professional approach, she is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life, focusing on holistic health outcomes and preventative medicine. Dr Douglas values building strong, collaborative relationships with her patients to help them make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Dr Douglas completed her medical degree, obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide in 2004. Demonstrating a commitment to specialised training, she went on to earn a Diploma of Child Health (DCH). In 2018, she achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), cementing her status as a highly qualified specialist in her field. Her diverse medical background also includes valuable clinical experience gained whilst working in an emergency department in Dublin, followed by extensive training and work in the fields of anaesthesia and intensive care upon her return to Australia.

As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Douglas has developed a broad range of clinical interests. She is particularly passionate about paediatrics, travel medicine, and preventative health, alongside providing supportive care in LGBTQI+ health and sexual health. Her practice encompasses comprehensive contraception management, including the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants as well as intrauterine device (IUD) removals. Additionally, Dr Douglas is highly skilled in performing minor surgical procedures, such as skin checks, biopsies, minor surgical skin excisions, and iron infusions, ensuring her patients receive high-quality, hands-on care.
