Dr Karl Ng

Dr Karl Ng is a highly accomplished Consultant Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist who provides expert care for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. Based in Naremburn, he specialises in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of complex disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. Dr Ng is particularly recognised for his expertise in administering specialised injection therapies for chronic migraine, excessive sweating, and movement disorders, as well as performing advanced diagnostic neurophysiological assessments.

Dr Ng graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours from a leading university in Sydney in 1992. He subsequently completed his specialist training to attain accreditation in Neurology from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. To further his expertise, he undertook extensive post-fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at a prestigious neurological hospital in London, leading to a second specialist accreditation in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he holds a Doctor of Philosophy for his doctoral thesis on peripheral nerve excitability. Dr Ng is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London), and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists. He also serves on the board of directors for a prominent brain charity and is a member of the International Hyperhidrosis Society.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Ng is a Conjoint Associate Professor at a prominent Sydney medical school, where he contributes to the education of future medical professionals. He is also a Senior Staff Specialist and Director of Neurophysiology at a major metropolitan teaching hospital. An active Researcher, he has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals and serves as an Editor for several medical publications.
