Dr Karen Douglas

Dr Karen Douglas is a highly respected and dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Douglas specialises in all aspects of General Practice, ensuring that her patients receive the highest standard of medical care tailored to their unique needs.

Dr Douglas completed her medical education at the University of New South Wales, qualifying in 1986. She is a life member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), where she has also contributed significantly as an Examiner, Education and Development Officer, and former member of the Expert Committee for Standards for General Practices. Her outstanding contributions to the medical field were recognised when she was named the RACGP General Practitioner of the Year for New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, and she was subsequently awarded the prestigious Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her service to medicine and the community.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr Douglas has developed a particular clinical interest in women's health, having served as a regional Women's Health Coordinator. Her practice encompasses a broad range of general medicine, focusing on preventative care, health promotion, and chronic disease management.
