Dr Karen Avory

Dr Karen Avory is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a holistic approach to medicine, she is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life. Dr Avory has a deep passion for all aspects of General Practice, with particular clinical interests in women's health, paediatrics, and chronic disease management. She is also highly focused on helping patients navigate lifestyle challenges and mental health concerns, ensuring that each individual receives tailored and reassuring care.

Dr Avory completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Nottingham in England, qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) and a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMedSci) in 2011. She subsequently completed her General Practitioner training in Manchester. Committed to continuous professional development, she obtained postgraduate diplomas in women's health, family planning, and paediatrics in the United Kingdom. After relocating to Australia, she completed a further diploma in women's health at a major hospital in Western Australia, alongside a certificate in family planning. Dr Avory is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in the United Kingdom.

Throughout her career, Dr Avory has gained extensive experience working in diverse clinical settings across both the United Kingdom and Australia. In addition to her clinical practice, she is deeply committed to medical education, having spent significant time teaching and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Her dedication to training the next generation of healthcare professionals reflects her thorough understanding of evidence-based medicine. Outside of her clinical work, she promotes a balanced lifestyle, maintaining personal interests in sports and nutrition to support her holistic philosophy of health.
