Dr Justin Needs

Dr Justin Needs is a compassionate and highly skilled General Paediatrician who provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents up to the age of sixteen. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional inpatient and outpatient care, ensuring that young patients and their families receive supportive and reassuring guidance. His clinical practice covers a broad spectrum of paediatric health, with a strong focus on supporting children through their crucial early developmental stages.

With a particular clinical interest in neonatal medicine, Dr Needs is highly experienced in managing newborn and young infant care, including addressing complex feeding difficulties. His expertise also extends to developmental medicine, where he works closely with families to monitor and support children's physical and cognitive growth. By focusing on early intervention and family-centred care, he aims to provide tailored treatment plans that promote long-term health and well-being.

Dr Needs completed his Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours at the University of Sydney, where his research focused on the effects of pain relief in labour on infant feeding. He subsequently earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the same institution. Following his university studies, he undertook extensive postgraduate clinical training at several major tertiary and paediatric teaching hospitals. He obtained a Diploma of Child Health and attained his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Paediatrics and Child Health in 2010.
