Dr Michalis Yiallourides

Dr Michalis Yiallourides is an experienced paediatrician with a strong commitment to improving access to specialist care for children and young people, particularly in regional and rural communities. He currently practises with the WA Country Health Service and provides private consultations via telehealth.

Dr Yiallourides graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Manchester, UK in 2001. He became a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK (MRCPCH) in 2006 and completed his training in General Paediatrics in Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust in 2013. He holds General Medical Council and APHRA Specialist Registrations. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2017. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK (FRCPCH).

He has a particular interest in Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics, including Autism Spectrum and ADHD. He is especially focused on the innovative use of telehealth for prompt developmental assessments, expanding access to timely, high-quality care in families in regional and rural areas.

Committed to community impact, he co-founded North Queensland Attention Different Hyperactivity and Autism Spectrum (NQADHAS), supporting families across North Queensland. In addition, he serves as a Senior Lecturer at James Cook University and remains actively involved in research and medical education.
