Dr Justin Lewis

Dr Justin Lewis is a highly regarded Consultant Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive psychiatric care for adult patients. With a clinical approach that is both collaborative and patient-centred, Dr Lewis focuses on the assessment, management, and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions. His areas of clinical interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and adjustment disorders. He is dedicated to helping patients navigate their mental health journeys with tailored treatment plans that support long-term recovery and well-being.

In addition to general adult psychiatry, Dr Lewis has a strong interest and specialised expertise in Occupational Psychiatry. He is highly experienced in the assessment and management of injured workers and patients under transport accident schemes, addressing complex conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain disorders, and major depressive disorders. Dr Lewis is also an accredited Permanent Impairment Assessor and Independent Medical Examiner, frequently conducting detailed medico-legal assessments and examinations.

Dr Lewis completed his medical training at Monash University, where he earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours. He furthered his academic pursuits at the same institution, obtaining a Master of Psychological Medicine. Dr Lewis qualified as a Consultant Psychiatrist in 2007 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). His professional background includes extensive clinical experience across both private practice and hospital settings, as well as prior experience as a Psychiatric Registrar in the United Kingdom.
