Dr Jun Yew Tay

Dr Jun Yew Tay is a highly dedicated Consultant Geriatrician who specialises in providing comprehensive, person-centred care for older adults. With a deep commitment to optimising the health, independence, and quality of life of his patients, Dr Tay focuses on addressing the complex and multifaceted medical needs that often arise with ageing. His clinical approach is characterised by a thorough and compassionate evaluation of each individual's physical, cognitive, and functional well-being.

In his clinical practice, Dr Tay has developed a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of dementia, as well as the management of Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) in residential care settings. He is also highly skilled in addressing other common geriatric concerns, including fall prevention, mobility issues, and polypharmacy. By carefully reviewing and rationalising complex medication regimens, he aims to minimise the risks associated with multiple prescriptions and enhance overall patient safety.

Dr Tay completed his medical education at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours (MBBS (Hons)). He subsequently undertook specialist training in Geriatric Medicine, which he completed in 2018. Dr Tay is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), reflecting his high standards of clinical excellence and ongoing commitment to professional development in the field of aged care.
