Dr Julia Menzies

Dr Julia Menzies is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on delivering holistic medical support, she is committed to helping patients of all ages achieve optimal health and well-being. Dr Menzies has developed a diverse clinical practice, offering expert guidance across a wide range of general health concerns while maintaining a reassuring and professional approach.

Her primary areas of clinical interest include women's health, sexual and reproductive health, and family planning. Dr Menzies is highly skilled in performing specialised procedures such as intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals, endometrial and vulval biopsies, and MonaLisa Touch treatments for genitourinary syndrome of menopause. Additionally, she is deeply passionate about paediatric and adolescent health, antenatal shared care, Aboriginal health, and the health of fellow medical professionals. She also actively contributes to medical education, serving as an Examiner and participating in community health programmes.

Dr Menzies graduated with honours from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom in 2002. After relocating to Australia, she completed extensive postgraduate training and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011, notably winning the Tony Buhagiar Memorial Medal in 2010 for achieving the highest exam score in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. She holds a Diploma in Child Health and a Diploma of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Dr Menzies is also an active member of the Australasian Menopause Society.
